1. Short version
YakiemBattle sets exactly one cookie: a strictly necessary session cookie. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels. Two preferences are stored in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.
2. The session cookie
When you sign in, the Service sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in and carries the security token that protects your requests against cross-site request forgery.
Properties: HttpOnly (inaccessible to scripts), SameSite=Lax, path-limited to the Service, with an absolute lifetime enforced on the server. The cookie is transmitted with Secure flag in production (HTTPS).
3. Local storage preferences
The website stores two preferences using the browser's local storage API:
- av-theme: the colour theme you chose (dark or light).
- av-side: whether the dashboard sidebar is collapsed.
4. What we do not use
The Service does not use:
- advertising or ad-tracking cookies of any kind
- third-party analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no session-replay tools)
- cross-site tracking, fingerprinting scripts or "evercookie" techniques
- payment-page cookies from our payment providers on our own site (payment pages are hosted by the providers)
5. Managing cookies and storage
You can clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time from your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out and resets the theme and sidebar preferences. The Service remains fully functional without local storage; it requires the session cookie while signed in.
6. Changes
If we ever introduce additional cookies, this policy will be updated and the change announced. The current version is always available at /cookies.
